Astra Suites

We travel a lot and to say that the Astra Suites is hands down the best hotel and staff says a lot! From the breathtaking views of the hotel, which is unreal until you experience it, to the front desk staff and Myra arranging our tours and dinner reservations , to the turn down service of the rooms, and breakfast served each morning by Nick, there just isn’t a detail missed. They even surprised me with a birthday cake on my birthday! Santorini should only be experienced this way and I will always stay at the Astra Suites.

If you are planning a trip to Santorini, there is absolutely nowhere else to stay but Astra Suites. Our room was very private, had stunning views, and was clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind and always ready to help. Their restaurant had amazing food and views as well. Astra Suites is centrally located and a quick 20 minute ATV ride to either side of the island. The town of Imerovigli is sophisticated, quiet, and just as beautiful as Oia. Our stay was absolutely worth the price you pay and the only thing we wish we did different was stay longer.

The single greatest hotel suite I've ever been to. The view was unreal from the hot tub suite. The food was great, the service was great, the room and the view are like a fairy tale.Definitely not handicap accessible, the hotel can only be reached via extensive stairs.

September 15-18 2024: Excellent. The room was huge, clean and with a private balcony overlooking the Caldera. We loved that the toilet was behind a separate private door from the shower area, this made getting ready very efficient. The breakfast was served each morning on our private balcony and included the selection we had specified on our breakfast menu cards. Each evening we had chocolates or a special gift left for us by the hospitality and housekeeping team. This was unique to Santorini and made us feel extra special. We dined here at the hotel’s restaurant Five Senses on our last night and enjoyed the first row degustation menu which was the meal that kept giving – each course was more and more delicious and beautifully plated than the last. Worth every penny! We loved our host here, John, who was the most hospitable and kind person we met in all the islands. During our days in Santorini, we enjoyed the cliff walk from Immerovigli to Fira, the Santorini Sailing experience and visit to Oia town. In the evenings we enjoyed a sunset wine tasting and dinner overlooking the Caldera from Santo Wines and frequent visits to lively Fira for nightlife. While in Oia, we made sure to arrive early to avoid crowds and ventured down to beautiful Ammoudi Bay for lunch – an experience we will always remember! But in all honesty, we knew we made the best decision to stay in Immerovigli as we loved how quiet and peaceful it was compared to the busy streets filled with tourists in Oia. By staying in Immerovigli we were able to explore all of the main towns with many opportunities to see the blue domes and variety of the different villages. Our one regret was not staying in Santorini longer. Had we known that ferry times in Greece can frequently change, we would have definitely stayed in Santorini for a fourth day as the delay did cut into our first afternoon on the Island. We will just need to return again – Santorini is truly heavenly!

One of the best vacations we had! The hospitality was above any we have experienced! The room was beautifull and with every detail on the spot! There are no words to describe the view, especially during the sunset! It is impossible to find a flaw even if you try! Overall an amazing experience!
